Bournemouth striker, Callum Wilson is set to be on the sidelines for 6 months after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament against Stoke on Saturday.

Wilson who will be having surgery next week then followed by rehabilitation is Bournemouth's top scorer with 5 goals so far this season.

This latest setback for Manager, Eddie Howe is his third already this season as fullback, Tyron Mings, has already been ruled out for the rest of this season after he injured his anterior and medial ligaments of his knee. Then the Ivorian, Max Gradel, also suffered a similar knee injury while playing in the game against Leicester in August. Gradel will be out for the rest of 2015.

The official premier league statistical index rates Wilson as the top performing striker in the top flight.

" It's very disappointing for Callum after what has been an exceptional start to the season, but I am sure that he will come back fitter and stronger." Said Howe.

Former Ballon d'Or winner, Ronaldinho has been released by his club, Fluminense after just being at the club for 2 months.

The 35 year old Brazilian only featured in 9 matches, was unable to stay fit, did not score any goals and only showed flashes of his brilliance before his release.

Jack Warner has been banned from all football related activities for life by the FIFA Independent Ethics Committee.

The decision was reached based on the findings of the Committee as stated in its report about the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.

According to a FIFA statement, Warner was "found to have committed many and various acts of misconduct continuously and repeatedly during his time as an official in different high-ranking and influential positions at FIFA and CONCACAF."

The statement added that, "in his position as a football official, he was a key player in schemes involving the offer, acceptance, and receipt of undisclosed and illegal payments, as well as other money making schemes."

"My aim with this documentary is to be who I am, objectively for my fans," he said.

The film includes interviews with those close to the 3 time Ballon D'Or winner, as well as footage of him as a child and montages of his career.

Aston Villa winger, Jack Grealish has announced that he has decided to play for England rather than the Republic of Ireland.

Grealish, 20, has featured for the Republic of Ireland U-21s but refused to accept the Republic's invitation in June to represent their senior squad in a friendly against England.

He was born in Birmingham but qualifies to represent Republic of Ireland through his grand parents.

Grealish made his debut for Aston Villa in May 2014 in a premier league game against Manchester City.

"It was not an easy decision as Ireland has a special place with me through my family. But I have decided to represent the country of my birth". He said.

England Manager, Roy Hodgson, who has made it clear in the past that he wanted Grealish to play for England did not pick him for the friendly against Republic of Ireland in June because he felt it would have been inflammatory if he chose England at the last minute and played.

FIFA president, Sepp Blatter, is to remain in his position and has declared that he has done nothing illegal.

In a statement he released, he stated that he had already spoken to members of the FIFA staff and has informed them that he was co-operating with the authorities and insists he has done nothing illegal or improper and as a result, will continue as president.

Concerning the Michel Platini payments, he revealed that he informed the Swiss authorities that Platini had a valuable relationship with FIFA as an advisor to the president. A relationship which began in 1998.

He explained to the Swiss prosecutors that the payments were compensation and nothing more and were duly accounted for within FIFA including the withholding of Social Security contributions.

Zenit St Petersburg winger, Hulk, has revealed that he will respond to the racist chants on the stands by blowing kisses towards the racist fans and get on with his football.

In Zenit's last weekend's league game against Spartak Moscow, Hulk revealed that he was racially abused by the Spartak fans during stoppage time but he reacted by blowing kisses towards them. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.

"Unfortunately, the same things are happening- racism in the stands". He told the Zenit official website.

"I won't pay any attention to this. I will continue to blow kisses and answer them with the way I play on the pitch."

Barcelona will be without talisman Leo Messi for 7-8 weeks as he sustained a knee injury in their La Liga game against Las Palmas.

He sustained the injury when he clashed with Las Palmas defender Pedro Bigas in the 3rd minute. After he was treated, he came back on but only lasted 2 minutes before he asked to be substituted.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and after tests, was diagnosed to have sustained a collateral ligament tear in his left knee.

He was videoed limping while leaving hospital.

Without him, Barca still managed to defeat Las Palmas 2-1 with Suarez grabbing a brace to take them back  to first position on the league table.

Manchester City suffered their third loss in 4 matches as they were hammered 4-1 by Tottenham Hotspurs at White Hart Lane in the premier league early kick off.

City started brightly by going ahead in the 25th minute through new signing, Kevin De Bruyne, who finished an excellent counter attacking move after Yaya Toure put him through on goal. It was his 3rd in 3 starts for City. De Bruyne though, seemed marginally offside when fed with the pass by Toure. The goal would eventually set the tone for other controversial goals  scored that would go the way of Spurs.

Kyle Walker who was the culprit for giving  the ball away that led to City's goal, turned provider for Spurs equaliser albeit from an offside position which Eric Dier did not waste in the 45th minute.

Toby Alderweireld turned the tables for Spurs after nodding home Eriksen's excellent free kick 5 minutes after the re-start.

It grew worse for City in the 61st minute as Harry Kane made it 3-1 for the hosts. It was Harry Kane's first club goal this season after going on a 6 game goal drought. The goal however, should not have stood as he was offside when Lamela played in the free kick.

Erik Lamela made the game safe on 79 minutes after taking advantage of more shambolic defending in City defence.

The result moves Spurs to 5th position temporarily while any sort of victory for Manchester United will see them leap frog City.

Arsenal defender, Gabriel Paulista, has been suspended for one game after admitting a charge of improper conduct brought against him by the FA for his behaviour in last weekend's London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

He had successfully appealed earlier this week, the red card he was booked for for kicking out at Diego Costa.

He will however be banned for one game for his behaviour after he was sent off with a 10,000 pound fine slapped on him as well and a warning as to his future conduct.

FIFA president, Joseph Sepp Blatter, is currently being questioned by representatives from the Swiss Attorney General's Office on suspicion of criminal mismanagement and/or suspicion of misappropriation of funds.

It is understood that the United States don't have a hand Sepp Blatter's present travails.

Celta Vigo opened scoring on 26 minutes through Nolito who grabbed his 5th goal of the campaign. He turned provider 4 minutes later for former Liverpol attacker Iago Aspas as Aspas doubled Celta Vigo's lead.

Aspas grabbed his brace on 56 minutes after a quick counter attack from Celta Vigo. Neymar who had a quiet game pulled one back for Barca on 80 minutes but Celta restored their 3 goal margin only 3 minutes later through John Guidetti to seal a famous victory.

Barca could not cope with the energy of Celta Vigo and were comprehensively beaten. This results will leave Barca down to 5th on the table if Real Madrid goes on to defeat Athletico Bilbao.

Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski set a new Bundesliga record as the first substitute to score 5 goals in one match.

He achieved this feat in Bayern's midweek Bundesliga match against last season's runners up, Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern were trailing for the third time this season1-0 at half time but some inspired substitution from manager, Pep  Guardiola turned the game on its head as  Lewandowski scored 5 times in 9 minutes to earn Bayern a 5-1 victory and the 3 points and keep their unbeaten run intact.

Lewandowski sadly, could not equal the Bundesliga record for most goals scored by one player in a match set by Dieter Mueller for FC Cologne in 1977.

Chelsea striker, Diego Costa has been banned for 3 games for his conduct in Chelsea's premier league game against Arsenal in a game Chelsea defeated Arsenal 2-0.

Retrospective action was taken by the FA as referee Mike Dean in his report did not see Costa laying his hand on Arsenal defender, Laurent Koscielny's face several times before squaring up to him.

It was this incident that led to Gabriel's involvement which ultimately led to Gabriel being sent off after succumbing to Costa's taunts by kicking out.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have won an appeal against Gabriel Paulista's red card and  now have his 3 match ban overturned. He will now be set to feature this weekend for Arsenal.

Gabriel will however face a separate charge for his behaviour after he was sent off.

Chelsea first team doctor, Dr Eva Carneiro, has left the club after falling out with Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho according to reports.

Dr Eva who has not reported to duty after Mourinho's public criticism of her for being naive is said to be considering her legal options.

Dr Eva and Physio, Jon Fearn, had ran into the pitch to treat Eden Hazard in Chelsea's opening league game against Swansea after the referee had signalled them to come in to treat Hazard.

It was late in the game and their entry into the pitch meant Chelsea would be temporarily down to 9 men as Thibaut Courtois had earlier been sent off for a professional foul and were hanging on.

This made Mourinho livid and he went on to give his medical staff a dressing down at the post match press conference. Mourinho is reported to still stand by his comments.

Dr Eva,42, who was born in Gibraltar, is a Sports Medicine Specialist. She joined Chelsea in 2009 and was promoted to the first team by Andre Villas Boas.
